Day 6 took us from Lompoc to Ventura via Hwy 1 to the coast, then along the 101 until lunch at a local school in Santa Barbara.  After lunch the route meandered through Santa Barbara up and down many hills...something that annoyed many of the riders (including myself!).   Finally we ended up at the marina where we rode the bike path past the zoo and onward to Carpinteria.  Along the way a local group set up their own pit stop for the riders handing out free ice cream (Yum!).  Now I was entering my local stomping grounds where I rode many a training ride.  I'm almost home!
